Hunter began tattooing in 2020 in a busy Noosa street shop, and through a traditional apprenticeship learnt the foundations of a strong work ethic and what makes a good tattoo. He has since had the opportunity to tattoo in multiple different studios around Australia. Hunter’s style is based on western traditional, with elements and subject matter drawn from the Japanese culture. Hunter mostly tattoo’s in the style of traditional, neo traditional, Japanese and fine lining.
Hunter’s artistic experience has taken him to studios all across Australia, each enriching his style and technique. His artistic expression is rooted in western traditional tattooing, yet uniquely complemented by elements and themes inspired by Japanese culture. This fusion creates a distinct and compelling aesthetic that sets his work apart and makes him a master of his craft.
Specializing in traditional, neo-traditional, Japanese, and fine line styles, Hunter brings a diverse portfolio to our studio. His work features bold lines and colors typical of traditional styles, blended with the detail and symbolic richness found in Japanese tattoo art. Hunter’s approach to tattooing is one of reverence for the traditional methods, coupled with a continuous exploration of cultural motifs.
